Lucas Zelnick Grand Rapids Concert reviews
Too political
"I have seen Lucas Zelnick's specials on tv and was really looking forward to the show. The tone was set right from the beginning when he asked the crowd who they were voting for in the election. If I wanted that I could have turned on any news station to get the same stuff. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and regardless who the crowd is voting for to tailor the entire act to that crowd is a bit ridiculous. I even purchased floor seats to make sure that we had a great seat in the house. 80-85% of the material was all on politics. If I had known what I was in store for I never would have gone to the event. I feel like Lucas Zelnick made his political views very apparent with his jokes. It also provided the biggest laughs from the crowd all night - I wish more of that humor was in the entire show. He's obviously entitled this his own views but to project on the rest of the audience was too much. Peanut and Ahkmed provided some good laughs which saved the end of the show but by that point I was ready to go. I wish there was a disclaimer that had said it was political humor - mostly in favor of one side."
